Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

With a touch of both brown sugar and sweet vanilla make these Cassava Chocolate Chip Cookies are a real treat.

1 cup Cassava flour

½ stick of butter

½ stick of shortening

¾ cup brown sugar

1 tsp. cream of tartar

½ tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. salt

½ tsp. vanilla extract

1 large egg

½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

 

1. Mix the butter, shortening and brown sugar.

2. Add in the egg and mix until blended, then add the vanilla.

3. Slowly add the remaining ingredients a little at a time until all ingredients are mixed together well.

4. Drop dough onto baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 9- 12 minutes.
