Gluten Free Red Velvet Cake
YIELD: One 9” layer cake
Easily turn our Yellow Cake Mix into Red Velvet cake
1 bag Yellow cake mix plus:
Cocoa powder ¼ cup
Soft, unsalted butter 3 oz.
Vegetable oil 3 oz. (6 Tbsp.)
Whole large eggs 3 each
Whole milk 1 cup
Red Food coloring 1 ½ Tbsp.
1. Preheat oven to 335 degrees. Grease two 9” cake pans.
2. In a bowl place the soft butter and oil. Add the remaining ingredients on top of the butter.
3. Blend together on low speed until incorporated. Scrape the bowl and continue to mix on medium speed for five minutes.
4. Place into prepared pans and baked at 335 Degrees F for 20-25 minutes until a cake tester comes out clean.
TIP: For Cupcakes, baked at 350 degrees for 18-22 minutes. Times may vary depending on the oven.
