Gluten Free Savory Scones

YIELD: 16 scones

Enjoy one of the many flavor suggestions or try your own flavor idea for these delicious savory scones.

Prep Time: Bake Time: 20 minutes @ 400˚F

1 bag Biscuit and Scone mix

6 Tbsp. butter

11 oz. heavy cream

½ cup various cheese and/or nuts*

1 Tbsp unsalted butter

1 egg beaten for brushing on crust

Turbinado or similar sugar for sprinkling on crust

1. Blend the dry mix and butter together until it resembles a coarse cornmeal. Add in the cream and mix until combined. Scrape down the bowl and mix for an additional 30 seconds. Add in your selected garnish and mix together.

2. Divide dough in half, roll into 2-6”rounds. Cut into 8 pieces and place on a parchment-lined double sheet pan. Brush with cream.

3. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
